A considerable amount of research and consultation has been carried out to find the most suitable style of house, and Scandinavian chalets have been chosen for their natural affinity with an environment of woodland, fields and water.

Built from solid redwood heart logs, these Finnish houses combine the very best of traditional building methods and modern technology, providing exceptionally beautiful homes that are both easy to maintain and comfortable to live in.

The external walls are double layered and insulated, and the impression of space and airiness inside is maximised with vaulted ceilings and large windows.  Exposed solid-log internal walls are tastefully blended with smooth plaster finishes, and top quality fixtures and fittings are used throughout.  From the handmade, all-wood, framed door kitchens to quality bathroom furniture, these homes exude style and substance. Gas central heating and all modern conveniences are standard.  Buyers can opt for a wood-burning stove to add the finishing touch to a cosy and beautiful home.

French doors open onto a roofed-over decking area: an ideal feature for enjoying the outdoors in comfort, even on damp days!  An attractive front porch and slate roof enhance the external appearance.

The chalets comply fully with UK Building Control requirements, and are sold with a Building Control certificate.

The photos (above & below) are of our show house, completed in December 2005, and manufactured by Eurohonka Oy.  http://www.eurohonka.fi

Each chalet is bespoke, so buyers can plan their own internal layout.  Options include 2 or 3 bedrooms, a separate dressing room, sauna, etc.

Restrictions

Renting properties to holidaymakers is not allowed under any circumstances.  Our goal is to create a small, friendly community of owners who can enjoy the estate in peace and safety.  Renting undermines this, as residents will not know who their neighbours are from week to week.   It will also undermine the location's appeal, and ultimately, devalue the properties.
